The Power of Accessories

I'm sure you've seen the ever-growing trend of building a capsule wardrobe - and learning about the waste from the main stream fashion industry (both production as well as discards) from articles such as these, we're totally on board here at Purse & Clutch!

Today we're going to explore how changing your accessories can completely change the look of the same dress!

I found this dress when I was shopping with my mom at Clothes Mentor in Tyler, TX. We were so excited to find this second hand shop. One of the things my mom & I like to do when I go home is to go shopping. Once I committed to shop ethically, I thought that our tradition would have to stop. Be regulated to online shopping links on my Christmas List as I work to build a classic wardrobe. I can only speak for the Tyler location, but the selection is high quality, gently used (if at all), and very reasonably priced.

So this dress! I was drawn to the subtle details in texture and the adorable pockets. I knew it would be adorable on our model, Katherine. It's the perfect blank slate kind of dress that can take on a totally different look when just a few accessories are switched out.
