Brand Highlight: The Village Experience
We're excited to partner with a new group out of Thailand and India for part of our new Spring Collection!
The Village Collection is a fascinating combination made up a Travel Company and Women's Accessory Artisan Groups. They believe that traveling the world is the best education and host Yoga retreats in Haiti, Cultural Experience in Guatemala and Kenya among other offerings.
According to their website, they do what they do because
"It allows us to bring awareness to the plight of people in the developing world. It allows us to help struggling economies throughout the world by supporting tourism and local trade. And it allows us to give back through financial and in-kind donations. The Village Experience bridges the gap of understanding between the many different cultures in the world. And most importantly, it allows us to instill a sense of responsibility, a feeling of humility, and a desire to act in everyone we encounter to make this world a better place in which to live."
When we stumbled across their company, we knew we wanted to join in and do what we do best - connect fashionable women in the US with gorgeous, fairly made handbags.
Co-founder and product designer Anne Campbell's experience at BCBG clearly shines through in their gorgeous, cotton and leather wallets that we're excited to include in this season's collections!
