We've been doing our homework on Fall Fashion trends and are so excited to share with you our Fall/Winter Feminique Collection available for pre-order. It's right in line with our favorite looks of this coming fashion season showing once again that style and ethics need not be mutually exclusive!
Textile Mixing
Slightly different from pattern mixing, this trend focuses more on the weave and the materials of different fabrics. Choose a fabric that really highlights the texture of the materials used such as this handmade crocheted slouchy purses and clutch from India:
Handmade in Narsapur, India, by a lovely group of female artisans who have been able to take the 100 year history lace-making society that was previously exploiting it's workers into a community of over 600 artisans paid fair wages and now able to work in a healthy environment!
Mix the crochet texture in the purse with a pair of leather shorts and a ribbed top. The back of the clutch is made from recycled remnants of leather which means that this look already has the texture mixing trend build in!
White for Winter
A chunky knit in gorgeous white can be just the breath of fresh air your look needs when the dark colors of fall and winter take over!
Pair this fresh white crochet purse with a lovely emerald knee-length coat or a military style cropped jacket to keep your look weather appropriate.
Quilting
Sometimes when we're learning about new artisan groups and checking out their latest work one item will catch our eye and we can tell it's destined to be a Purse & Clutch classic. This season, it was this lovely leather & floral purse. The shape is utterly adorable and the quilting of the floral is right on trend for the season! Not to mention the patterned details in the leather bring just the right amount of texture to catch your eye.
